Whoa! What's this? Something new? Yeah, I wanted to try my hand at making incense. We use enough of the stuff at home, it only makes sense that I learn how to make it instead of buying it at the store with who knows what kind of chemicals in them. But why voodoo? Well, I'm having all sorts of ideas for bath and body products all of the time. Sometimes, I am inspired by my surroundings, some flowers I might have seen, breakfast in the morning - you name it. Well I just thought of something magical and the name voodoo came to mind as being a neat name that you could do just about anything with. So on October 7th, here's what I did with it:

anise essential oil
patchouli essential oil
orange essential oil
vanilla fragrance oil

I wanted a fragrance kind of dark and mysterious and I tinkered around with the ratios until I got something that smells really good.

I put them in a baggie just to take the picture, but they haven't dried enough to test yet. I'll post when they're ready.
