Coffee Soap
Friday, February 03, 2006
I made another batch of the coffee kitchen soap. We alway seem to run out of this soap fairly quickly so I thought I should have more on hand. I tweaked the ingredients again to see which version of ingredients I like better. This time I must have controlled the heat a bit too much because this batch turned out a lot lighter than my previous batches of coffee soap. I did everything exactly the same, right down to the insulation of the mold so it might have been the temperature in the house or some other external factor. The soap will work great - just the same as the other batches - it will just look lighter. I think it looks rather like oreo ice cream. The picture shows the color difference between batches. My ingredients are as follows:
extra virgin olive oil
palm oil
coconut oil
palm kernel oil
castor oil
fresh brewed coffee
coffee grounds
