Cranberry Almond Soap
Wednesday, January 18, 2006
I made another batch of the Cranberry Almond since it was another favorite. I refined the ingredients a little and due to popular demand, and Eddie's urging, I increased the amount of fragrance. I also used my new oxides for color. The old batch used liquid, FDA approved colorant and all I could achieve was a light pink without going overboard with the dye. This one, with just a little bit of oxide, is a nice shade of red. Four weeks in the curing cupboard and it will be ready for use. My ingredients are as follows:
extra virgin olive oil
coconut oil
palm oil
palm kernel oil
castor oil
fragrance oils
oxide for color
