Just some fyi stuff -

Up until this point I have been using FDA approved colorants in my soaps, if I used any additional coloring at all. My dyes are from a very reputable supplier. The colorants are all oil-based, using the same oils that I put into my soaps. They've not only been tested for the use on skin, they are specifically made for use in soaps, and they can (why you would want to, I have NO idea) also be safely consumed.

However, I will be switching to the use of oxides and ultramarines for future soap batches. They're on order right now and I have high prospects for them. I prefer the idea of using natural mineral pigments and like the idea of using powders to color my soaps, instead of liquids.

So anyway, that's that. Just giving everyone a heads up. I might just take the mention of any kind of colorant off my labels in the future and just have it as a disclaimer on the site.

Has anyone seen the site yet? It's still a work in progress. We're slowly getting little bits of it done. It's a bit time consuming and there's soap to make, kids to feed, etc etc.
